Purwokerto, I'm in love with youuu^^

Relax. Forget your business for a while. Now, I want tell you about the small town that made me in love.

What’s on your mind if you hear Purwokerto?

For me, that word mean ‘ndeso’ name, looks like so out of fashion and hi-tech device. In my first impression with that name, I feel the traditional atmosphere is very strong, just it!

Last Friday (July,17th), in the some breath with Bomb Terror of Jakarta, me and my family went to Puerto Rico. *Oh, forgive me with a slip of the pen*. I mean PURWOKERTO! It doesn’t mean we were joined exodus from Jakarta, it just incidentality!

After more or less 8 hours away by car, finally I beat up that small town. It was midnight so I couldn’t see the whole of town. And sleeping is the best choice! Hehehe… xp When the morning comes, I was going around the town which I staying with.

Making my way downtown, Walking fast, faces past And I’m homebound.. Staring blankly a head Just making my way, making my way Through the crowd..

Okay. Maybe ‘a thousand miles’ by Vanessa Carlton fit to play in my car. Lalala~ :DD

I frightened out of with that town. Well, Purwokerto is very beautiful and clean town, it won Adipura Cup as runner up last year. Not only it, but that town also has strong ‘magical power’ to make me stay on in there. If you stay in there, you will feel that time is running slowly. No more traffic jam hit the town. No more greedy in every second. By sure, those towns offer me pleasure. I can forget about anything that makes me hard pressed.

And this is the calm picture of Purwokerto.

The vehicles are not crowded as well as Jakarta. Maybe it because the popularity density is low. And because this town is not too large, so, you can finish Purwokerto in an hour by car, therefore the citizens choose motorbike to go around. Hehehe.. That’s why I’m in love with this town. ^^

This the downtown (alun-alun) in the towards the evening

I realize that Purwokerto is given me Indonesia looks like. The towny get on together in alun-alun (oh, could I found in Jakarta?). For your information, in that town I almost rare find foreign corporation was build. The control drive was local people. Nonintervention of foreign in local economic or culture. Many local restaurant offer local food like Mendoan, Soto Jalan Bank, Sate Kambing Tiga Saudara (thanks Jana for recomendation, I’ve taste it all. Delicious culinary!).

Once again I say, Purwokerto is very Indonesiatic! Standing ovation with that town.
Don’t be misinterpretation, far from foreign hands doesn’t mean out of fashion, in the fact I often look many internet store in that town, it makes Purwokerto always have an ear to the ground.
Maybe, we must learn from Purwokerto, how to develop its region without leave any local culture. That’s the point!

In outside of town, we can still look many fields…

Especially in the road to Baturraden. Oh, how beautiful God’s creature^^

Forgive me if I cannot stop to take a photograph about the scenery I saw. It’s cool baby, cool!!;)

Yap. Baturraden is tourists area that located in the top of Slamet Mountain, Central Java. You just pay five thousand rupiahs and then you will see beautiful scenery in there.^^

Me in Baturraden.

Okay, that’s my report from my trip in Purwokerto. You can called me too much show off, whatever, but, I just want to sharing experience with the place I amazed. It will makes me proud being Indonesian (and maybe you too).
*Next trip in Dieng, just looking my album by yourself. Sorry, if my English grammar gets wrong! hehe;)
